Harry F. Porter, I.A.A.C., Winning the High Jump at the Olympic Games, London, 1908. Porter was born in
Bridgeport, Connecticut, and was a graduate of Cornell University. After competing for Cornell, he joined the
Irish-American Athletic Club. In 1908, he served as the Acting President of the U.S. Olympic Team.
